A Journey Through Time: The Revival of Solid Perfume

The story of solid perfume goes back to ancient Egypt, when perfumed balms were crafted using animal fats infused with macerated plant extracts, resins, honey, and other fragrant or even therapeutic elements. It is believed that Cleopatra herself created a blend of cardamom, cinnamon, and olive oil. Interestingly, liquid perfume as we know it only appeared in the West around the 12th century, following the discovery of alcohol distillation.

The idea of solid perfume was brought back into the spotlight in 1925 by Molinard, with the launch of “Concreta”—a floral wax-based perfume.

Today, solid perfume is made using botanical butters, beeswax, floral waxes, essential oils, and resins gently melted together. One of the greatest benefits? It contains no alcohol, making it ideal for even the most sensitive skin. As it melts into your skin, it hydrates while releasing the natural aromas of its precious ingredients.

Why choose solid perfume?

Maybe because... it’s tiny enough to slip into any bag? Its practical format makes it perfect for travel—whether in your handbag or carry-on.

It’s also safer for your skin in sunny weather, making it a great option for the beach without the worry of pigmentation spots. And from a sustainability angle, it requires less packaging and the container can be reused.

How to apply it?

It’s beautifully simple: just use your fingertip to apply a small amount in circular motions on your pulse points—like the wrists or neck. Your body heat will help the scent blossom subtly as you move. Wearing solid perfume can become a daily ritual that gently wraps you in your favorite scent. Don’t forget to keep it with you for a quick touch-up whenever you need a little sensory boost.

We’ve created three solid perfumes for you—each with a unisex aroma and a unique personality. Blended with beeswax, floral waxes, and precious natural oils.

HOLY WOOD

A perfume designed to bring peace, focus, and calm. At its heart lies Palo Santo—“holy wood”—which gently merges with sandalwood and frankincense. Use it during your meditation practice or simply enjoy its grounding energy throughout the day.

Key notes: Palo Santo, Vetiver, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Frankincense, Neroli

JASMIN SAMBAC

At the heart of this sensual, calming solid perfume is jasmine—La Fleur. This olfactory treasure brings a bright, uplifting energy while staying close to the skin. Jasmine is known for its euphoric, mood-enhancing qualities. This blend allows you to explore all the rich layers of the jasmine flower.

Key notes: Jasmine, Cedarwood, with subtle hints of Rose Absolute

ROSA DAMASCENA

An homage to the timeless flower that never fails to enchant. Rose has inspired poets, artists, and perfumers across centuries. In this solid perfume, we’ve tried to capture its soul—a symbol of beauty, love, and passion.

While some floral perfumes can feel overly sweet, here the rose is bold yet delicate, creating a scent that feels both comforting and elegant. A well-balanced solid perfume that can be worn by anyone, regardless of gender.

Apply it on pulse points and let the soft scent of freshly picked roses embrace you. Did you know it takes 50,000 rose petals—around 3.5 kg—to produce just one gram of essential oil? No wonder it’s called “liquid gold.”

Key notes: Damask Rose, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Patchouli
